Multi-disciplinary in Creative Direction, and Fashion Communication

Advert description
My professional journey bridges academic leadership and creative innovation.

With 17 years of experience in the fashion industry, I have worked as a freelance Creative Director and Fashion Stylist with a distinctive approach rooted in youth culture, feminist values, and bold, uninhibited creativity.

I am the Art, Culture + Media Director of The September Issues, a bi-annual, independently published art, fashion, and culture magazine founded and curated by women. Since its inception in 2016, The September Issues has served as a platform for women and gender non-conforming contributors across the globe. With a dual mission to make fashion a feminist issue and champion underrepresented voices in mainstream media, the magazine is a campaign for artistic and political expression—dedicated to social justice and challenging cultural norms through creative work.

I have extensive experience in commercial and high street fashion, having worked closely with Kate Phelan at Topshop for many years as well as doing e-commerce at ASOS and being the Senior Womenswear and Menswear Stylist at Urban Outfitters for Europe from 2019 to 2020.

For nearly a decade, i was the in-house Stylist at Raey, the contemporary luxury brand under Matches. Raey was known for its distinctive yet uncomplicated aesthetic—creating elevated, avant-garde, and wearable pieces designed to be lived in. I have a strong understanding of how clothing can empower, express individuality, and transcend trends.

For the past decade, I’ve been deeply committed to Higher Education, contributing to some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions, including Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Westminster, Salford, Leeds Arts University, Brighton, Bath, and the Condé Nast College of Fashion.
My approach bridges academic rigor with real-world insights, ensuring that my students are equipped not just with knowledge, but with the creative and professional tools necessary to thrive in an evolving industry.

I believe that education carries a responsibility—not only to equip students with practical skills but to engage critically with the broader industry. Fashion must be democratised, diversified, and decolonised. This belief underpins my pedagogy: the classroom should be an inclusive, collaborative, and safe space where students feel empowered to express, challenge, and redefine.
