I am an Economics, Maths and Business Studies GCSE and A level teacher, who teaches students aged between 4 and 18. I am also an Edexcel and AQA examiner. My lessons usually last 1 hour, however I am having Summer lessons in Dulwich from 10am to 3pm, for 5 weeks. I have been teaching for 12 years, the majority of my years of teaching spent working at Wallington Boys. In addition, I also help students with the 11+ entrance examination to gain entry into grammar and independent schools.
The first lesson is an initial assessment, after this I send an academic report via email, which outlines an education road map to reach the students academic objective(s). Once the parents have read the academic report, I will discuss it with the parents and students, to ensure that all parties understand our next steps. Every 6 to 8 weeks, I will create and update the road map to ensure that we are consistently taking steps to achieve our educational goal(s).
All of my lessons and homework are pre-planned according to the students academic road map, however I am flexible regarding any last minute changes that may need to made, in the case that the student needs additional help with one particular topic or gets through a topic quickly and we need to move onto the next. I provide all students with a folder, which has: all students work; educational road map; weekly comments sheet indicating topics covered and next steps; homework; additional work that the students can work on in their own time.
