Advert description
I am currently taking a career break from my roles in the UK civil service (Foreign Office and Cabinet Office) to tutor GCSE and A-Level students (Chemistry, Biology, English and English Literature) in my hometown of London ahead of applying for business school (MBA) in the UK (LBS, Oxford) and USA (Columbia, Harvard, Stanford).
In terms of my academic background, I am a Masters (MSc) graduate of the London School of Economics - International Health Policy - and Bachelors (BSc) graduate of the University of Sussex (BSc) - Molecular Medicine.
I enjoy all types of teaching and was a classroom teaching assistant across years 1-6 at St Joseph’s Primary School in Holborn, London, whilst working on my Masters (MSc) application to LSE. I was also a tutor for GCSE and A-Level students (Chemistry, Biology and English Literature) whilst in my second and third years as an Undergraduate at the University of Sussex.
When tutoring students my focus is on:
• Delivering best in class exam preparation / technique.
• Supporting with coursework / projects to get top grades.
• Developing my students' confidence, both in the classroom and as a person.
This approach helps ensure my clients son / daughter is best placed to get excellent grades throughout their time at school, but especially on exam day (GCSE’s & A-Levels). Furthermore, with my career experience I am well placed to help with university applications and career advice, which I feel is a value add to my role as tutor.
