My lessons are aimed at those wishing to improve their confidence in using French and other foreign languages in day-to-day life.

Having been surrounded by various languages since birth, it quickly became clear to me that my dream career would involve using these in a number of contexts. Over the years, I came to realise that I particularly enjoy giving back to the community, and, in my case, there is no better way of doing this than by sharing my knowledge of languages and teaching these to those who are passionate about bridging cultures through speech. In order to explore these interests further, I have undertaken many forms of work experience over the course of my studies which have confirmed my interests in education and language teaching, and given me the necessary skills to continue pursuing opportunities related to the field. I have previously led English conversation classes at the University of Helsinki where I worked with English language students as an English Language Assistant intern, which allowed me to develop confidence in leading large groups of individuals and encouraged me to lead the classes in a creative and engaging manner. With skills involving organising class times, confidence, working with students and maintaining a positive attitude, I believe that working as a languages tutor would be the perfect place to put these skills into practice and to further develop them in a professional capacity while allowing me to engage in something that I am extremely passionate about. Moreover, I am currently working as an English language conversation leader at the Sorbonne Nouvelle university in Paris where I am in charge of leading small groups of English language students in which they get to practice using English in authentic situations. I am a firm believer in encouraging students to speak for most of the class times as that is, from my experience, the best way to develop confidence in a language, particularly if students get to talk about something they truly enjoy. This role has greatly enhanced my confidence skills and allowed me to further utilise my French language skills in authentic environments outside of a university setting.
