Advert description
My PhD at Sussex was the first study in England and Wales on Black women’s experiences of workplace sexual harassment and access to justice. It explored the intersection of law, race, gender, and power, and informs my academic work and support for women facing workplace discrimination. I believe law should be accessible, humane, and rooted in everyday realities.
Before academia, I worked as a lawyer in England and Wales and Kenya. These experiences guide how I approach law, research and teaching. Yoga gives me grounding and a way to express resistance and balance. My yoga practice shapes how I think about protest, embodiment, and justice. On my yoga mat, as in law, I find both resistance and possibilities.
