I have spent the last ten years working as an Art, Design and Photography Teacher at St Augustine’s Priory and Queenswood School.

I have taught Art and Photography at A’ Level and Art and Design from year 3 to 11, for which I have written and prepared all schemes of work. In the latest ISI inspection, we were awarded the rating of ‘Excellent’ in all areas. All A’ level Art and Photography students and GCSE Art students have either meet or exceed minimum target grades. I have a 100 percent pass rate. For the last ten years I have worked at schools that are academically mixed, meaning I have to be highly prepared, catering for all abilities within a single lesson. To do this I prepare by making my own resources to show students. I offer differentiated learning outcomes which are communicated through PowerPoint slides. These are produced and communicated with students in order for them to understand how they are assessed and how to progress to the next level. I also prepare extension tasks for those that are very able. Under my tutelage students have won places at prestigious Art Foundation courses and Art, Film, Photography and Animation degree courses. One of my students had her film screened at a Film Festival and another student won second prize at the Society of Heads exhibition for her painting.
