Grade 9 & A-Level English Literature Tutor | Exam-Focused Support

I achieved Grade 9s at GCSE and an A* in A-Level English Literature, giving me recent first-hand experience of what it takes to succeed in English exams. I tutor GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level English Literature across different exam boards, helping students strengthen literary analysis, essay structure, close reading and exam technique.

My lessons focus on turning good ideas into high-scoring answers. We can work on poetry, prose and drama, as well as unseen texts, comparative essays and timed exam questions. I help students understand how to analyse language, form and structure effectively, develop convincing arguments and use textual evidence with purpose.

Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and goals, whether they want to build confidence, improve a particular skill or work towards the highest grades. I also use past-paper questions, essay planning and targeted feedback to make sure students understand exactly how to improve.

As a recent student myself, I understand the demands of GCSE and A-Level exams and aim to make challenging texts and assessment criteria much clearer and more manageable.
