Giving private lessons in A level psychology or a lower levels.

I would give lessons that are holistic, offer chances for deeper nuance or insight of the subjects many fields and would foster the learners confidence in their intellectual abilities. I would start with a brief conversation to gauge their current level of understanding, whether they have benefited from visual, demonstrative or textbook based learning in the past to inform how I would deliver the lessons going forward as well as their intrinsic motivation. Additionally I would make use of low stakes short formative assessments at the end of each lesson to know how much has been retained by the learner and the areas that need improving in both the students understanding and in my delivery. I aim to deliver lessons that, cover the key elements, apply the theories or material to relevant current real world situations to give them more relevance to the learners own experience and understanding. Furthermore to use these lessons to foster confidence by highlighting both the learners progress as they learn as well as their results on assignments
