Computer Science, Python and Cybersecurity tutor for GCSE, A Level and adult learners

Build confidence in Computer Science, programming and cybersecurity through clear explanations and practical, project-based learning. I am a qualified teacher and former Head of IT and Computing with experience teaching Computer Science and ICT across secondary, further-education and international settings. I also work as a senior software technical trainer and technology lead.

Lessons are tailored to the learner's starting point, goals and preferred pace. I support KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, A Level, BTEC, university-entry and adult learners, from complete beginners to advanced students. Sessions can cover Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL and MySQL, Linux, software development, algorithms, computational thinking, databases, networking, cybersecurity, ethical hacking and secure coding.

For school and college students, I can help with curriculum topics, exam preparation, programming assignments, revision plans and areas where confidence has fallen behind. For adults and career changers, I provide structured learning pathways, portfolio-project guidance, code reviews, interview preparation and practical advice on choosing an appropriate technology stack.

My teaching is patient, inclusive and hands-on. I break complex ideas into manageable steps, demonstrate them clearly, then guide learners through increasingly independent practice. Where useful, we build real projects so that concepts become skills the learner can explain and apply.

My qualifications include a PGCE, BEng (Hons) Software Engineering, MSc Computer Forensics and Cyber Security with Distinction, Certified Ethical Hacker and CompTIA PenTest+. I have supported more than 1,500 learners, mentored over 400 learners in building portfolio websites, and helped more than 300 learners progress into entry-level or associate developer roles.
