German Tutor teaches students of all ages

I have completed teacher education Master`s programme in German at the Faculty of Arts at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

As a German teacher I have gained several years of experience in teaching and tutoring students with different proficiency levels, as an employee and as a volunteer. I developed different knowledge and competences. My teaching experience has thoroughly confirmed my desire to teach and see the progress of the children. I worked with middle and high school levels, students and adults. This included providing individual, small group and whole class lessons. With volunteer experience I attained active listening, solving problems, time management and helping others. I am excited about the opportunity to support students in developing real-world communicative skills. A teaching career is challenging, creative and it offers diverse experiences.

I am precise, reliable, and responsible. I have strong passion for language instruction and learner success.

My teaching practice emphasizes communicative competence, clear grammatical foundations, and practical vocabulary usage, while maintaining supportive learning environment.

Before tutoring, I first check which learning material is being covered so I can prepare for the lesson more easily. Then we identify which topics are causing difficulties. After that, I explain the subject matter clearly and with examples, using various teaching aids. This is followed by reviewing the material through communication, worksheets, games, and more. My instructions are goal- oriented. I believe language learning is most effective when students are encouraged to think and communicate in the target language from the beginning, that’s way I consistently integrate authentic materials and structured repetition into my lessons.

As tutor I am comfortable adapting lessons to individual learner needs and learning styles, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing German.

I am also experienced with online instruction via Zoom or Teams and digital learning platforms, and I am confident in delivering high-quality tutoring in a remote setting.
