I am Geoscientist and former university lecturer with an M.Sc. in Geology and more than 35 years of professional experience.

I have lectured at the University of Fort Hare for ten years, teaching Geology, Sedimentology, Structural Geology, Geophysics and Economic Geology. On top of my academic expertise, I have industrial experience as a geoscientist in both the energy and mining sectors, where part of my duties involved one-on-one training and supervising junior staff in their roles. During my career, I have been actively involved in the environmental impact assessment of several exploration projects. My online tutoring approach involves the following: • To provide patient, structured explanations that break complex scientific ideas into manageable steps. • Adapt explanations and examples to the learner’s age, course level, syllabus and current understanding. • Provide support for homework, coursework, revision and exam preparation through guided reasoning and practice questions. • Encourage students to interpret diagrams, maps, graphs and scientific data, explain their reasoning and build confidence.
