GCSE Maths Tutor — building real understanding, not just memorised steps

I achieved a 9 in GCSE Maths and I'm currently predicted top grades in Maths and Further Maths at A-Level, so I know exactly what examiners are looking for. I've been tutoring since November 2024, working with students both 1-1 and in groups.

I don't believe there's a ceiling on what a student can achieve, only on how much they believe they can. My lessons focus on real understanding first, building step-by-step frameworks for common question types, then targeted exam practice so students learn how to tackle even the trickiest, unfamiliar questions with confidence. I also teach students how to think like a mark scheme, so they maximise marks even when a question looks unfamiliar.

I keep lessons structured but relaxed, and I adapt my approach depending on what works for each individual student.
