Advert description
I am currently a Third year Dental student at Queen Mary University of London and a passionate GCSE Maths tutor. I achieved A grades in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at A-Level, along with grade 9s in Maths, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at GCSE.
A few years ago, I worked as an Academic Tutor at Frederick Bremer School, where I supported a wide range of GCSE Maths students. Since then, I have been helping students build confidence, improve their problem-solving skills, and make real progress—regardless of their starting level. My goal is to make maths more accessible and less stressful for every student I work with.
Having completed my own GCSEs and A-levels just a few years ago, I understand both the subject content and the student mindset very well. I combine strong subject knowledge with up-to-date revision methods and relatable study strategies. I also bring empathy and patience, especially for students who may be feeling unmotivated or overwhelmed.
I've worked with students across all ability levels—from those aiming to secure a grade 4 or 5, to others striving for top grades. I tailor my teaching style to meet each student’s individual needs and learning preferences.
In our first session, I’ll assess the student’s current level by identifying gaps in understanding and testing the strength of their foundational knowledge. From there, I create a tailored study plan that supports steady, targeted improvement.
I closely align all lessons with the student’s specific exam board, using real exam questions, mark schemes, and proven techniques to develop exam confidence. I studied Edexcel GCSE Maths, AQA Triple Science, and OCR Economics, so I’m well-versed in the structure, content, and expectations across a range of boards.
My focus is always on clarity, confidence, and results—making sure students not only improve their grades but also develop a solid understanding of the subject.
Whether your child is aiming to pass or pushing for top grades, I’m here to support them every step of the way.
