Advert description
Hi, I’m Dhanvi Sankruth, an enthusiastic Maths and Physics tutor offering online lessons for GCSE Maths, IGCSE Maths, GCSE Further Maths, GCSE Physics, IGCSE Physics, and Year 12 Maths.
Having recently completed my A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, I understand the challenges students face when progressing through these subjects and the importance of building both understanding and confidence.
My aim is to help students develop a strong grasp of concepts rather than relying on memorised methods. I focus on explaining ideas clearly, breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps, and helping students apply their knowledge to different types of questions.
My lessons are personalised around each student’s goals, whether they are preparing for exams, improving their understanding, strengthening foundations, or aiming to challenge themselves further. I encourage students to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and develop the confidence to approach problems independently.
I have experience supporting younger students through my role as a school reading mentor, where I worked with GCSE and KS3 students to improve their confidence and understanding. This helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles.
My academic experience includes:
A-Level Mathematics
A-Level Further Mathematics
A-Level Physics
COMPOS (University of Oxford) mathematics and physics programme
UKMT Mathematics Challenge — Bronze Award
British Physics Olympiad participation
Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge — Gold Award and Distinction
Alongside lessons, I provide personalised resources, homework tasks, quizzes, and exam-style questions to help students continue making progress outside sessions. I am also happy to discuss challenging questions and topics to help students improve their understanding.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, with flexible timings available to fit around school and other commitments.
I offer a free first lesson/consultation where we can discuss goals, identify areas to focus on, and plan the best approach moving forward.
My goal is to make Maths and Physics more approachable while helping students become confident, independent problem-solvers.
