Gap year student providing English lessons as primary and secondary school reinforcement

I have achieved A levels in English, History and Economics at grade A and above as well as 10 GCSEs including a grade 9 in both English literature and language. I have a place at Manchester university to study English literature and History after my gap year. My studies in English helped me to develop a passion for the subject which I am excited to be able to share with younger students.

I gained experience in teaching when I completed my Sports Leadership Level 2 qualification as I took the opportunity to lead a class independently on a number of occasions. I also volunteered as a teaching assistant within my dance academy which allowed me to develop a more creative teaching style as I was challenged to inspire and engage a class. Increasingly, I am becoming interested in education and have coached local primary school aged students in reading.

A typical class with me would include exam style questions for older students as well as a target based approach which is applicable to all age groups. This entails identifying key areas to work on with a tangible and realistic goal in mind in order to track progress.
