Fun, knowledgable and reliable! Lessons aimed at GCSE

I’m a passionate, enthusiastic and friendly 20 year old history student currently studying at Edinburgh! Although I am studying history, I have a passion for English literature and language too! I studied on both the OCR board (English lit) and AQA (Language and history). As someone who was also tutored during school, I can promise to be patient and understanding that each individual student will have different needs. Even though one technique may not work, there is always a way to make students grasp key concepts! I have tutored English from secondary school level schools (creative writing and essay writing) to GCSE/A level skills. I am very confident teaching PEAL techniques for structuring paragraphs and getting an argument across (which is an important marking criteria). I can help with essay plans, essay structuring and revision techniques. History and English can be tricky to grasp (and revise for) but I was able to successfully find techniques that helped me reach A* grade in both - for me this included essay plans, past papers, mindmaps and bullet point lists. However, I am happy to adapt to whatever revision technique suits you.
