With more than 25 years of experience using Mandarin, I bring a deep, practical understanding of both the language and the challenges learners commonly face. Mandarin has been a constant passion of mine over that time, and I’ve developed a strong insight into where learners tend to get stuck, whether that’s tones, character retention, or making sentence structure feel natural. My focus is on helping you move past those sticking points so you can get to the enjoyable part: speaking with confidence.

I’ve won international Mandarin speaking competitions, hosted Chinese TV shows, and used Mandarin in business settings, but what matters most in my teaching is making the language feel usable and approachable. I’ve taught learners of different ages and levels, and I always tailor lessons to your goals, whether that’s conversation, travel, work, or personal interest.
