Advert description
My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident, capable, and genuinely interested in psychology. Many students find psychology fascinating but struggle with remembering studies, structuring essays, or understanding research methods. My lessons focus on making complex ideas clear and manageable while helping students develop the skills needed to perform well in exams.
I begin by identifying the areas each student finds most challenging. From there, I break down topics into clear explanations, using real-world examples to help concepts make sense and stay memorable. I place particular emphasis on understanding key studies, learning how to evaluate research critically, and developing strong essay-writing techniques, which are essential for GCSE and A-Level psychology.
For students preparing for exams, I help them practise exam-style questions, improve their structure and evaluation, and build confidence with research methods and statistics. Rather than simply memorising information, I focus on helping students understand why theories and studies matter and how to apply them effectively.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive. I encourage students to ask questions and actively discuss ideas so that lessons feel engaging rather than overwhelming. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop confidence in their thinking and a deeper understanding of psychology.
