FHEA-qualified Professional Development Coach offering engaging, practical soft skills, communication and career confidence.

Advert description
I am an experienced professional development and career coach with extensive experience in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences that help people build confidence, strengthen their workplace skills and progress in their careers. My expertise spans professional development, employability, communication, personal branding, interview preparation, career planning and the transferable skills needed to succeed in a changing workplace. In my role as a Placement Career Coach at the University of East London, I support postgraduate students and early-career professionals, many of whom bring substantial international experience and are navigating the UK employment market for the first time. This has strengthened my ability to tailor training to people with different levels of experience, learning needs and professional ambitions. I am comfortable working with diverse groups and making complex ideas accessible, relevant and practical. A significant part of my work involves designing and facilitating workshops, webinars and interactive learning sessions. I have delivered training on effective communication, networking, LinkedIn and professional branding, CV development, interviews, career confidence, responsible use of AI and navigating recruitment processes. Although these sessions often sit within a careers context, the underlying skills are directly transferable to corporate environments: presenting ideas clearly, building relationships, demonstrating professionalism, managing personal development and adapting to change. I take a practical, learner-centred approach. Rather than relying on long presentations, I use discussion, reflection, activities, realistic workplace scenarios and opportunities to practise new skills. I want participants to leave a session understanding not only what to do, but why it matters and how to apply it. I also recognise that confidence can be a major barrier to professional growth, so I create an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, contributing ideas and challenging themselves. I have experience developing learning resources and structured programmes, from individual workshops to employer-led webinar series. I created Careers After Placement, a programme connecting learners with industry professionals to explore career path
