As an incoming law student and grade 9 GCSE English student, I understand the importance of having strong analytical and writing skills, which is why I want to help as many students as possible achieve their potential at English Literature and Language at GCSE. I focus my lessons around the assessment objectives of the exam, ensuring my students are capable from literary analysis to context to comparative analysis for both the set texts and poetry anthologies for ALL exam boards. Exam technique is vital for success - hence, I walkthrough exemplar essays and help plan essays with my students so they understand WHAT qualifies as a high-level essay. For English Language, I ensure that my students are capable and confident in approaching different writing styles from creative to articles for their extended questions, in addition to smaller extract questions ensuring they are as prepared as they can be for their exams.
