Entrance exams and GCSE English Literature and Language

Hello, I’m Leigh! English is my passion, and I love sharing it with students. Over 11 years of teaching, I’ve helped young people find their confidence and achieve results they didn’t think were possible. I currently lead English and Humanities at a London school, and I’m an AQA GCSE English Language and Literature exam marker, so I know exactly what examiners want to see and how to help students show it. I’ve also taught Edexcel and IGCSE, so whatever your child’s course, I can help.

I have a strong track record of success at both entrance exam and GCSE level. I’m highly experienced in preparing students for 11+, 13+ and boarding school entry, including interview coaching that helps children walk in feeling calm, articulate and ready to shine. For GCSE students, I specialise in significantly improving coursework and building the confidence to perform under pressure.

My approach is simple: clear teaching, high expectations, and plenty of encouragement along the way. I am available throughout the week and on weekend mornings for online tutorials tailored to your child's needs.
