I've been working in education since 2015, across early childhood, secondary FE colleges and universities.

I've taught both English and Psychology in secondary schools, as well as specialist SEND teaching as Head of SEND Y9-10 English. I'm particularly familiar with teaching neuro divergent young people (ADHD, ASC), and have also worked with learners either visual and hearing impairments, and those with intellectual disabilities. As such, I know how to adapt teaching and learning methods to learners of diverse abilities and fundamentally believe it is the role of professionals to ensure all learners have access to opportunities that challenge and excite them.

I've also taught in specialist bi-lingual and bi-cultural schools, and have extensive training in culturally sustaining pedagogy, including delivering training to school leaders.

I taught online throughout the pandemic so am adept at resource, lesson and unit design for online teaching, and know how to keep children and young people engaged online.
