English Tutor providing tutoring in English Language and Literature for KS3, GCSE, and A Level

I am a qualified Secondary School English Teacher with 7 years experience. I have taught Year 7 through to Year 13, with a strong and consistent record of students achieving their target grade and above. I am experienced with both AQA and Edexcel at GCSE level, and with AQA A Level English Literature.

At my current school I am a Head of Year, with a reputation for being empathetic and approachable, whilst maintaining unwavering high expectations. This combination creates relationships built on trust and respect.

As a tutor, I work hard to understand the students and how they learn at their best. This allows me to tailor my provision to their individual needs and learning styles. I create challenging, engaging sessions, with effective support to help students feel confident and successful.

It is important to me that I am working in alignment with the student’s English teacher at school, to avoid confusion and to help achieve the very best outcomes. Therefore, my sessions will run parallel to the curriculum the student is being taught at school. This way, I can help improve and master the skills the student will be using in their English lessons, directly aiding their progress in school.

I am based in South-East London, so for in-person tutoring you would need to be based near by, so I could travel to you easily after work. I also offer Online Tutoring. I have availability during the evenings Monday-Friday.

In- Person Prices:
KS3: £55/hour
GCSE: £65/hour
A Level: £75/hour
Small Group: £40 per student

Online Prices:
KS3: £50/hour
GCSE: £60/hour
A Level: £70/hour
Small Group: £35 per student
