English or Chinese tutors providing lessons to students of all ages

Dear Recruiting Team,

My name is Jianing Zhang. I am a graduate student who just completed a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in King’s College London.

I have finished my teaching practicum in International House of London in November 2022 and March 2023, and I have already received my CELTA certificate. I developed an interest in designing various teaching plans and classroom activities according to lesson aims and learners’ proficiency, such as integrating an interesting game into the study of specific linguistic item to facilitate memory or resorting to digital technology and self-made materials to visualize difficult and key points. Meanwhile, I have the skills of working with students from different ethnical backgrounds.

In my previous experience, I have also voluntarily worked with pupils in South Bank University Academy and Alperton to help them get through difficulties while learning GCSE English Language or prepare for future learning. I have the ability to change knowledge in the subject into more comprehensible information and to improve myself while learning from other members of the coach family. As pupils are special age groups that need extra effort while coaching, I also practiced on how to be more supportive, patient, and caring both in study and life. Before coming to UK, I also have the experience of observing skilled teachers and coaching students in different places such as a primary school or language center. Therefore, I am confident in working with students in different age groups and stages of education, and I am also willing to learn from other professional tutors in the group.

I also have the English-Chinese translation certificate which proves my ability of mastering the two languages.
