Dear students,
I am Jianing Zhang and I am a graduate of MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in King's College London.
I have a couple of experiences in working with students in different age groups and proficiency level so I am confident in working with my potential students. I have the CELTA certificate issued in International House London, the place where I got trained. I was trained by two skilled teacher trainers and my basic ideas of teaching were shaped and put into practice.
Usually my lesson would follow a pre-class, while-class and post-class sequence, or a TBLT model. Students could learning both communication skills and basic linguistic knowledge they should know. Meanwhile, during the lesson, interesting classroom activities will be conducted to better facilitate your memory of the key point. The class is basically student-centered and students have the autonomy and responsibility to take part in their learning process. On most occasions, group work would be used to enhance students' communication competence and abilities to cooperate with others. When students come across difficult points or have any questions in class, I would encourage them to share their doubts and we could have a small discussion. If I cannot solve it during class, I would come back to them in next lesson.
In summary, the class is flexible but students could definitely learn from it.
