Advert description
I achieved a Grade 8/9 in GCSE Mathematics and aim to support students of all abilities, from those working towards a Grade 4 to those aiming for Grades 8–9. My approach is to break down complex topics into clear, structured steps, followed by targeted practice questions and guided reflection so students understand not just how, but why. I explicitly teach exam technique, including what mark schemes are looking for, how to structure answers, and how to pick up method marks. For students aiming for Grades 4–5, I focus on core skills, repetition, and confidence building using scaffolded questions. For higher grades (7–9), I use more challenging problem-solving and exam-style questions. I also create a personalised “mistake log” with students to track and revisit errors, and teach effective revision strategies such as active recall, spaced practice, and interleaving to maximise long-term retention.
