Advert description
I’m Marlo Kinnear, the specialist teacher and learning difficulties assessor behind MKDDA. My experience includes working as a mainstream teacher, special school teacher and SENDCo across state and independent settings, including a specialist primary school for children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). These roles have given me a broad understanding of different learning needs, school environments and the importance of practical, individualised support.
I hold a Bachelor of Education, a Master’s in Education focused on special educational needs, and a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). My work combines specialist teaching, diagnostic assessment and practical guidance to help learners understand their strengths, address difficulties and build confidence.
Through MKDDA, I offer dyslexia and dyscalculia diagnostic assessments, exam access arrangements assessments, workplace needs assessments and SEND consultancy for families, schools and workplaces across South West London. My assessments provide a detailed learning profile, with clear, tailored recommendations to inform support in education and employment.
Alongside assessment, I provide individualised specialist literacy and maths teaching, online or in person at my garden office in SW18. I take a warm, learner-centred approach, tailoring support to each individual’s needs and helping them develop skills, confidence and greater independence
