Advert description
My teaching approach is built on trust by meeting students where they are, acknowledging that it’s okay to not have the answers yet. Learning is a process which could involve adapting to individual students’ learning assimilation processes.
I usually demonstrate concepts using relatable, real-world analogies to strip away the intimidation factor, then we tackle problems together in a collaborative manner where mistakes are treated as data points, not failures. I then step back into a coaching role, giving the student the space to lead the session and prove to themselves—and me—that they’ve mastered the material.
Beyond the curriculum, I teach executive functioning skills—like how to organize thoughts or manage study time—ensuring that when our session ends, they have the tools to succeed on their own."
