A Curator who graduate from Royal College of Art in MA Curating Contemporary Art

Yan Xie is a curator based in London who looks to engage diverse communities with artistic practice. Her focus is on participatory art and the relationship that it generates with participants, drawing upon ideas including, the power relation between institution and individual, antagonism of participatory art, collaborative art, and approaches to democratisation. Yan has practiced and worked in museums, galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and other art institutions for over 7 years. She graduated with MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art.
