Advert description
Learn piano from a professional concert pianist with international performing experience.
I’m Rhys Concessao, a British-Indian concert pianist who has been performing since the age of 8. My journey has taken me from the Purcell Room at London’s Southbank Centre to prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Barbican Centre and NCPA Mumbai, as well as performances with orchestras in the UK and Europe.
I was fortunate to receive a music scholarship to The Purcell School for Young Musicians and a Sir Elton John Scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music. I later studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the renowned pianist and pedagogue Professor Eliso Virsaladze. Along the way, I’ve won numerous national and international piano competitions and have had masterclasses with musicians such as Lang Lang, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Dimitri Alexeev.
But lessons with me aren't simply about learning to play more notes or preparing for an exam. I want to help you understand how to play music developing technique, musicality, confidence, interpretation and your own artistic voice.
My aim is to make every lesson focused, inspiring and enjoyable, while giving you practical tools that you can take to the piano and immediately apply. All lessons are tailored around your goals and experience.
If you'd like to learn from a pianist with genuine international performance and conservatoire experience, I'd be delighted to work with you.
