A CELTA qualified ESL Teacher with over 2 years' experience in delivering exceptional lessons

Hi! My name is Joanna and I am from Poland. I studied at the University of Westminster in London and then went on to live and work in Mumbai, India for 3 years. I speak fluent Polish, English and Hindi and I am currently learning French and Spanish and I have a few years of experience working as a language school teacher and a translator and interpreter. I love teaching and helping others like me explore the beautiful world of foreign languages and the doors it opens.
My methods of teaching are always tailored to an individual. I want to make sure one gets the most out of the lessons they pay for. Because of that, I usually prefer conversational lessons, with discussion topics and vocabulary lists being used for specific topics. Experience has taught me that it is mostly during discussions that the biggest amount of grammatical mishaps can be caught out and corrected.
However, having learnt a lot from books and academic resources myself, I also understand the need for structure, and so I want to make sure me and the student have time to devise a plan for steady, but sure progress for them.
