Advert description
As a Biochemistry undergraduate at Imperial College London and an IB graduate with a score of 45/45, I have a strong understanding of Biology and the skills required to achieve academic success in the subject. My teaching approach focuses on developing a thorough understanding of biological concepts and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in examinations. I explain concepts using a combination of verbal explanations and visual methods, including diagrams, annotations, and structured notes. I place particular emphasis on helping students make connections between topics within Biology and across related scientific disciplines, since this deeper understanding improves both retention of information and problem-solving ability. Regular practice is an essential part of my teaching. I use exam-style questions, problem-solving exercises, and past paper practice to reinforce learning and identify areas that require further attention or revision. I encourage students to attempt questions independently before discussing solutions together, allowing them to develop confidence, critical thinking and useful study habits. To prepare students thoroughly for their examinations, I also provide timed mock examinations and detailed feedback, helping them improve time management and become familiar with working under exam-conditions.
