Advert description
Hello, my name is Noor (:
Technical aspects:
- I have a bachelor's from the French university Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) with the CPES (Cycle Pluridisciplinaire des Etudes Supérieures) diploma, where I majored in mathematics and minored in physics;
- I have an MSc from Imperial College London in Theoretical Physics (more specifically, Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces), where I also took the mathematical classes General Relativity and Group Theory;
- I tutor students in mathematics at bachelor level;
- My preference (though this isn't necessary) is to work with students who are studying mathematics in French, but are very comfortable speaking English - that way we can use French when we're speaking "Maths", and speak English when we're explaining and understanding it! And switch between the two as we choose :)
Less technical aspects, but probably the most important:
- My favorite way to work is to go through the TDs / tutorial exercises with you, as well as parts of the lessons that you have questions on or confusion around, and work from there! Ideally, you would send what you would like to work on at least 3 days (preferably one week) before our session.
- My job is to, to the best of my ability, help you find your own way of relating to mathematics and understanding the logic and workings of it, but also to guide and help you in finding the confidence to make the discoveries yourself, and become really good friends with the Math Detective within!
- PS: I have a mid-Atlantic accent in English as I'm from a multicultural background, and have lived in different countries.
If this all sounds right, I look forward to meeting you!
