Advert description
When I work with children and teenagers, my main focus is helping them feel comfortable, confident and supported in using their voice. I know that singing can feel very vulnerable for young people, especially if they’re shy or unsure of themselves, so creating a calm and encouraging environment is really important to me.
My lessons are gently structured and always adapted to the individual child. We usually begin with simple breathing and posture work to help them feel relaxed and grounded, before exploring basic vocal technique, pitch and rhythm in an accessible, age-appropriate way. I’m very mindful that young voices are still developing, so I prioritise healthy vocal habits and never push or strain the voice.
Beyond technique, I care a lot about confidence and self-expression. Many children and teens come to lessons feeling nervous or self-conscious, and my role is to help them build trust in their voice at their own pace. I keep lessons focused but friendly, and I encourage curiosity, playfulness and enjoyment alongside steady progress.
I come from a background in music and creative work, and I bring a warm, intuitive teaching style shaped by years of working with people in supportive and creative environments. My aim is for students to leave lessons feeling more confident, expressive and happy, and for parents to feel reassured that their child is being guided with care, patience and skill. If you’re curious about lessons or would like to discuss your child’s needs, you’re very welcome to reach out.
