Hello everyone, I’m Linfei Gong. I would describe myself as someone who is both introverted and extroverted, depending on the situation. I enjoy communicating with others and sharing ideas, but I also appreciate having time to observe, reflect, and understand people more deeply. I have experience teaching English to children in different settings, including private tutoring and group classes, both online and offline. Through these experiences, I have learned that every child has a different learning style, pace, and set of needs. Some children may feel confident expressing themselves, while others may need more encouragement and support to participate actively. Therefore, I believe it is important for a tutor to be patient, flexible, and attentive to each student’s individual needs. I would love to continue working as a personal tutor in this role because I believe one-to-one teaching offers a valuable opportunity to understand a student’s learning abilities, interests, and challenges in greater depth. Rather than simply delivering knowledge, I hope to identify what works best for each student and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. For example, I would like to pay attention to how a student understands new concepts, responds to different activities, and develops confidence over time. Ultimately, I hope to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, express themselves, and make progress at their own pace. For me, being a tutor is not only about helping students achieve better academic results, but also about helping them develop a positive attitude towards learning.
