I have experience helping complete beginners build a strong foundation in piano and music theory. I’ve helped over 10 students progress from having little or no previous experience to confidently reading sheet music within just a few months. My lessons are patient, practical and adapted to each student’s age, level and learning style. I teach the fundamentals of music theory alongside piano skills, including reading notes, rhythm, scales, chords and basic musical understanding. Rather than simply asking students to memorise, I focus on helping them understand what they are playing and why. For younger learners, I keep lessons engaging and encouraging, breaking difficult concepts into simple steps and celebrating progress along the way. My goal is to help every student develop confidence, enjoy making music and build skills they can continue using independently.
