Firstly, we will start introductions. Get to know our backgrounds, influences, and experiences. Like myself I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a lot of music and music production degree graduates, whom of which I learned a lot from. Constantly I'd ask them their opinions on my projects, or playing, ask how to improve them. After years of doing so I've been able to build up a strong enough skillset and understanding of music to be able to play for bands and artists, as well as produce for hundreds of musicians in many genres.
Once introductions are out of the way we well begin with your current understanding of music. I can assure you that there's nothing to be embarrassed about as I know what it is like to start out in a new skill one hundred times over, and there's not much that can make me as happy as to build your confidence and understanding of music.
Typically we'd start at the foundations, depending on your level of understanding, such as time signatures, and scales, and how they are applied in many different eras and genres of music. I will of course tailor these to your specific aims or strongest influences when it comes to your preferred music genres.
As an owner of many instruments, and a home studio, I can show you how these theories are applied in a practical sense using my camera to show you how notes are used, combined and harmonised.
With music industry experience, I can even give you advise and resources to help you on your journey within music if you want to turn your hobby into an income! Or even a goal as to where you can build yourself up to.
I can't wait to work with you, and teach you everything that I've learned over my decade of music to help your understanding and application of music, and set you up for your journey to being a music aficionado.
