Vladimir Wills-Sokolov

I’m a music producer and qualified teacher specialising in Music Technology, Music Production, and Engineering.
I currently work for Hertfordshire Music Service and deliver the Music Technology A Level course at Leventhorpe School in Sawbridgeworth, which has become one of the most successful and popular Music Tech courses offered across East Hertfordshire sixth forms. I support GCSE Music composition students as well.

My teaching career spans over two decades, including roles at Point Blank Music College and multiple secondary and sixth form institutions.
I have extensive experience supporting students of all abilities, and I place strong emphasis on practical, industry-relevant skills.

I’ve been an electronic music producer, engineer and international DJ since 1994 and remain active in the industry with a couple of record labels. I compose and produce music for media for BMG, SATV and Catapult Production Music. You can find examples of my work at

I have many years of experience in teaching BTEC Levels 2 and 3: Music Production and Music Technology, BTEC Level 3 and A level in Music Technology. I have written task books for most BTEC units and IV-ed other teachers’ work. I have taken part in the Edexel standardisation test for internal verifying and am OSCA 3 recognised.

I have always used my initiative to enable students to learn through discovery and exploration.

I specialise primarily in Logic, Reason, Garage Band but can equally work with Cubase and Ableton, as well as extensive number and variety of Audio Units and VST plug-ins.
