I'm Faraz. For over 10 years I've taught one subject: GCSE and A-Level Maths. Nothing else. My Industrial Electronics Engineering degree means I've spent years actually using the maths I teach, so my students learn why it works, not just how
Advert description
I start every new student with a free 30 minute session so I can find out where the marks are actually being lost. There's no point running through the whole syllabus when the real problem is usually three or four specific topics.
Lessons are live on a digital whiteboard. I'll work through a question step by step, then hand the next one over to you while I watch. That way I catch a wrong method straight away instead of finding out later in the homework. Everything comes from real past papers and official mark schemes, so you learn how examiners award method marks and where students usually throw them away.
After each lesson you get a worksheet or a past paper set, and we mark it together at the start of the next session. I keep a record of the scores so you and your parents can see whether things are genuinely improving.
I'm patient and I don't rush anyone. If a topic isn't making sense, we go back and fix it properly instead of moving on and hoping it sorts itself out.
