My lessons are highly structured yet flexible, designed to be engaging, build confidence, and ensure measurable progress for primary and secondary school students.
Lessons always begin with a quick, low-pressure check-in to review the previous week's topic, ensuring retention and identifying any lingering confusion. The core of the session then moves to the new material.
My approach is built around active participation. Instead of lecturing, I use the "I do, we do, you do" model: I first clearly explain the concept; we then work through examples together; finally, the student practices independently with my immediate, supportive guidance. This personalized, one-on-one attention ensures the content is fully internalized before we move on.
While I specialize in developing foundational literacy, writing skills, and comprehension, the content is always tailored to the student's curriculum and interests. For primary students, lessons are interactive, focusing on building strong foundations. For secondary students, we focus on exam preparation, effective essay writing, and critical thinking skills.
My experience as a professional tutor, along with my TEFL qualification and background in youth mentorship and communication, allows me to adapt quickly to different learning styles. I use my diverse work history to bring energy and real-world communication examples into every session. I work diligently to create a positive, low-stress environment where students feel motivated to take initiative, ask questions, and take pride in their consistently high standard of work. My ultimate goal is to move the student from feeling discouraged to feeling genuinely confident in their subject.
