As a BA Popular Music student, I have experience in singing, songwriting, music theory, and guitar. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals and interests. Whether a student wants to learn music theory or guitar, I start with the fundamentals in a fun and approachable way. For guitar students, I introduce basic chords and tab reading early on so they can start playing songs quickly, which helps build confidence and motivation. I also believe that students learn best when they're learning what excites them. Some students want to learn a few chords so they can sing along to their favourite songs, while others may be interested in blues, jazz, pop, rock, or songwriting. I adapt my lessons to what inspired them to pick up the guitar in the first place, while still building strong musical foundations. My goal is to help students progress one step at a time in a supportive environment where they can enjoy learning and develop a genuine love for music.
