Advert description
I offer clear, and personalised tutoring in maths and statistics for students at different stages. From GCSE and A-level through to undergraduate and postgraduate university study. My aim is to make difficult topics feel manageable. I explain concepts step-by-step in straightforward language with worked examples and plenty of practice. For GCSE and A-level, we focus on exam technique, core methods, and building confidence with problem solving, so you understand the method and can tackle new questions independently. For university students, I cover statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methods, including probability, hypothesis testing, regression, modeling, and study design. I can also teach software, such as R, SPSS, and Stata, focusing on understanding outputs and the reasoning behind analyses. I currently work as a postdoctoral research associate in biostatistics and epidemiology at Keele University and previously taught undergrad and postgrad students as an assistant professor. My style is relaxed but structured, and I adapt each lesson to the individual. If you want patient, focused support to help you really understand and progress, I'd be pleased to work with you.
