Fluent French speaker with a degree in French & Francophone Studies teaches both practical and academic French skills

I am a French language tutor with nine years of French studies (including three stints living in France!) and five years of tutoring experience behind me. I am passionate about helping others learn and feel confident within this incredible language. I am prepared to work with anyone who wants to better their French, from level A1 to C2. Together, we can improve your grammar, reading skills, oral comprehension, speaking skills, and writing skills, and have some fun while we’re at it!

My goal for each tutoring session is to empower the student both in their knowledge of the material and in their approach to learning it. To do this, we will not only focus on the specific material that you want to master, but also the techniques and strategies that we can implement to empower you to approach new material more efficiently and confidently in the future.

I believe in fostering each student’s inherent leadership in their own knowledge, so students can expect a healthy balance between their taking the lead with the goals and outcomes of the session and my shaping of the session to best accomplish them. As a person, I am warm, welcoming, and confident in everyone's potential to succeed at what they want to do, which creates a healthy tutoring environment where students can feel comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes.
