First Class Oxford English Graduate | GCSE & A-Level English Tutor

I am a First Class Honours English Language and Literature graduate from the University of Oxford, specialising in GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature and A-Level English Literature tutoring.

I support students in developing the key skills needed to succeed in English: close textual analysis, essay writing, critical thinking, exam technique and confident communication of ideas. Whether you are aiming to improve your grades, prepare for upcoming assessments or develop a deeper understanding of literature, lessons are tailored around your individual goals and areas for growth.

My teaching focuses on helping students move beyond memorisation and develop the confidence to think independently, build strong arguments and engage thoughtfully with texts. Together, we will explore themes, context, character, language and authorial choices while strengthening the skills needed to excel in examinations.

Having recently completed my own studies at Oxford, I understand the challenges of high-pressure academic environments and the importance of supportive guidance. I provide a friendly and encouraging space where students can ask questions, discuss academic concerns and build confidence in expressing their ideas.

With additional experience across theatre, writing, journalism and communications, I bring creativity and a wider appreciation of storytelling into my teaching. I am passionate about helping students not only achieve their academic goals, but also develop a genuine enjoyment and curiosity for English!
