I began teaching English as a foreign language after I had been teaching Communication to College age students. Many of my students are from countries other than the US. I spent considerable time helping my students understand English before we could move into Communication. Thus, I studied and got certified to teach English as a foreign language; I then discovered I genuinely enjoyed helping people empower themselves by learning English.

In 2016 I began teaching Communication in person at an electrical trade school in Denver, Colorado, USA. In addition to teaching in person, in 2018, I started offering some of my classes online. The school went online entirely in 2019 because of the pandemic, and I have only taught online since then. I feel very comfortable with online learning, teaching, and using various tools such as PowerPoint to aid my students in their communication skills and growth.

My current students tend to be tradesmen and lack any experience in effective communication, so I open their minds to the empowering nature of effective communication. Most of my business and coaching clients want conversation and listening tools; I offer them these skills and then practice with them using these tools so they utilize them naturally. In addition to the leadership and conversation communication skills I offer all my clients, I also teach them empathy skills, especially in listening, so they can interface with their employees and loved ones respectfully and compassionately.
