Music professional providing tuition for theory, composition, vocal performance, KS3, GCSE and A-level and ARCO & FRCO exams

With a PGCE in Secondary Education and extensive experience as a professional performing musician, I bring both pedagogical expertise and real-world musical insight to every lesson. As a skilled composer, pianist and baritone, I offer a broad and advanced understanding of music theory, ranging from Bach chorales, figured bass and Palestrina's species counterpoint to the rich traditions of jazz and musical theatre.

Composition was my primary focus at university, and I have completed paid composition commissions in the past. However, I ultimately discovered that performance was my true calling. Since then, I have focused my career on performing and am an active member of the ANON ensemble and the Lincoln Cathedral Choir. I'm also happy to offer free guidance on further study, including advice on universities, conservatoires and colleges, as well as signposting you to other professionals who may be better suited to specific areas of musical development.

My current tuition fee is £25 per hour. I firmly believe this represents an investment in your musical future. Alongside high-quality tuition, I can introduce dedicated students to other professional musicians when suitable performance opportunities arise, some of which may be paid.

Although my hourly rate may increase in the future, the rate you begin lessons with will remain fixed for as long as you continue studying with me.
