Art and Design tutor. Specialist in Fine Arts, Illustration and Graphic Communication

Over the last 20 years I have been teaching Art & GCSE & Alevel students in the UK using OCR (Oxford & Cambridge) examining board. My background is in Fine Arts painting from Seville University in Spain as well as Visual Communication as a Masters Degree from Birmingham University in the UK, where I explored the possibilities of symbolism and narrative applied to interactive design and games. With the revolution I landed an in-house digital illustrator position in London working for the music industry. This was when Adobe was still in its infancy and other software like Macromedia Flash was mainly used to create vector graphics, interaction and animation. After September 11th I decided to migrate to Norway for a year and on my return after turned into teaching. The rest is history I have now taught 19 generations and the courses and interests have evolved dramatically from a lot of interest in Photoshop and Illustrator to now to design Posters and magazine designs to After Effects and 3D design for moving image and marketing. Lately an interest in experimental Arts & Craft and has come back quite strongly. I am currently pursuing my passion in upcycling and refashioning garments and accessories developing my own brand. During COVID 19 I worked for the government funded Oak Academy to develop 19 Art & Design classes to support distant learning. I have tutored students in the past and in the school I work at we teach a great number of international students with a high success rate. I am a very experienced teacher who love my subject, I am shy but warm and friendly. Looking forwards to meeting you.
