Learn Real Japanese with a Native Teacher | Beginners to N4

Hi, I’m Daiki. I’m originally from Japan and now live in the UK.

I teach Japanese to secondary-age students and adult learners, both online and in person. My lessons are friendly, relaxed and practical, and I always try to adapt them to each student’s goals and interests.

I have around 9 years of teaching experience in Japan, where I worked as a secondary school teacher, mainly teaching Japanese history. I also have around 2 years of experience working in education in the UK, including supporting students with individual learning needs.

Lessons can include conversation, grammar, reading, writing, travel Japanese, Japanese culture and JLPT N5/N4 preparation. I can also use textbooks such as Genki if that suits the student’s level and goals.

Online lessons are usually 50 minutes. I enjoy helping students build confidence step by step, and I’m happy to offer a free 20-minute online introduction and short trial lesson before starting.
