Peter was my A-level maths tutor. Under his guidance I received the required grades to study Civil Engineering at the University of Sheffield, a Russell group university. Peter would explain mathematical concepts that I had struggled with for a while in a simple and clear way, often relating these concepts to the real world. He personally researched into civil engineering, discussing engineering principles with me and relating them to A-level syllabus. Although I didn’t take further maths, Peter taught me sections that were relevant to my university course. Last year I graduated with a first in Civil Engineering. I still regularly meet with Peter for a coffee and catch up, as not only is he a fantastic tutor, but also a lovely person.
