Mia Stevens

Hi! I'm a passionate and approachable maths tutor with a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from Durham University, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Medical Statistics at Newcastle University. With a strong academic foundation and a real enthusiasm for making complex concepts accessible, I aim to help students not only improve their grades but also build confidence in their mathematical abilities.

My sessions will be online and either 45 minutes or 1 hour long to ensure each student can go at their own pace. I have experience working with students at various levels, from early secondary school to A-level and university foundation courses. Whether you're struggling with core topics, preparing for exams, or aiming to push yourself further, I tailor each session to suit your individual learning style and goals.

My approach is patient and supportive. I break down problems into manageable steps, encouraging logical thinking and problem-solving techniques that are essential not just for exams, but for future studies and careers. I believe that with the right guidance, every student can succeed in maths, it’s just about finding the right way to understand it.
